As proud supporters of the startup community in Vancouver, we had the opportunity to help Trippeo a travel expense management system develop their introductory video which which explains the in’s and out’s of the system.

One of the main reasons we like helping out startups is because it offers us the opportunity of experimenting with new techniques. Trippeo’s project helped us push our skills in the 3D area by developing assets that looked 2D but were actually 3D models with a texture applied called “toon shader”. Toon shaders have developed predominantly in the animation field specially cartoons to simulate a 2D look.

You may or may not be able to notice this texture effect on the project, if you don’t, then that means we did a good job.
