Bear Mountain incursionating into the animation field, why not!
Over the years we have been helping out Bear Mountain create a variety of music videos, from live action to VR experiences, and felt that this was the perfect opportunity to experiment in the animation field. “On My Own” was a song that was co-produced with Portuguese-Canadian singer and songwriter, Nelly Furtado. Ian Bevis, the lead singer of Bear Mountain collaborated directly with her to produce this catchy, melodic, poppy tune.
Through the combination of cell and cut-out animation, we were able to create a video with high artistic value that we’re very proud of. This was put into practice with the help of our skilled friends from the the south, Teonanacatl Audiovisual and Platypus animation studio and super talented art director Carson Ting aka “Chairman Ting”, who’s characters brought the whole video to life.
All our hard work and combined talents paid off because soon after the release, we were officially selected to showcase at the Spark Animation Festival 2017 under Canadian talent. We are excitedly awaiting to hear back from further Festivals and Awards and are ecstatic with the final output and huge effort behind this project.
